Bebelplatz is a square located near Humbolt University where the Nazi
held their first "book burning" on May 10th, 1933. Among the many
books that were torched were ones written by Thomas Mann, Heinrich and Karl Marx.
A glass window at the centre of the square looks down on an underground
library that contains no books.
